Chris D. Greenwood is the founder of Greenwood Associates, a family law practice serving clients throughout Utah County, including the Provo and Orem area. He concentrates on divorce, custody, alimony, child support, paternity, property settlements and prenuptial agreements, representing clients at every stage of the legal process — from mediation to trial, and on appeal to the Utah Court of Appeals and the Utah Supreme Court.
Mr. Greenwood earned his Juris Doctorate from the J. Reuben Clark Law School, where he served as an Assistant Editor for the Journal of Education and Law Journal and authored a published article on special education law. He received his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, Cum Laude, with University Honors, from Brigham Young University. He has been admitted to practice in the Utah State Courts and the Utah Supreme Court since 1992.
He co-founded Greenwood & Black in 1992, which ultimately evolved into Greenwood Associates. A member of the Utah State Bar, he served as Treasurer of the Government and Administrative Law Section, and as a city councilman for the Town of Genola, where he advised on youth and family issues.
Outside the practice, Chris is a classic-car enthusiast and avid outdoorsman who once completed a coast-to-coast hike across England.
